Meet the Wolfville Tour Wineries
Wolfville – located in the Annapolis Valley – is home to one of Canada’s most exciting and emerging wine regions. Each of the four Wolfville wineries included on the tour have their own unique charm and will showcase the variety of wines produced in this cool climate. Don’t forget to taste Nova Scotia’s own appellation wine – the crisp and bright Tidal Bay. On the Tidal Bay Express 2.0 Tour, you’ll have time to visit all four of these wineries.
For 2020 we will visit four wineries in a sequential tour format, not Hop On, Hop Off. Wineries included are: Mercator Vineyards, Domaine de Grand Pre, Luckett Vineyards and Gaspereau Vineyards.
Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards
Please Note: For 2020, we will not be stopping at Lightfoot & Wolfville and hope to see them again in 2021.
Owned and operated by an eighth-generation farming family, Lightfoot & Wolfville produces artisanal wines in their organic vineyard using biodynamic practices. The property features an award-winning barn-inspired building with an airy tasting room, wine shop and barrel cellar. Outside, the vineyard offers Minas Basin views and a summer patio restaurant.
Domaine de Grand Pré
As Nova Scotia’s oldest farm winery, Domaine de Grand Pré wines have added diversity and depth to the style of wine made in Nova Scotia and have received a number of accolades. Stroll through the property’s lush gardens or sit down for a taste of local fare in the cobblestone courtyard of Le Caveau — where seasonal ingredients are paired perfectly with the wines.
Crisp breezes, legendary ocean tides and brilliant sunshine meet to create an outstanding terroir on a hillside, overlooking the Gaspereau Valley. Luckett Vineyards captures the magic of Nova Scotia’s distinctive character through their wines and friendly service. Take a seat at the Crush Pad Bistro and take in stunning views of Cape Blomidon and the Minas Basin.
Please Note: For 2020, we will not be stopping at L’Acadie and hope to see them again in 2021.
L’Acadie Vineyards is Nova Scotia’s premier sparkling winery. Tour the unique ancient seabed terroir of the province’s oldest certified organic winery. Taste the internationally-awarded Traditional Method sparkling wines and discover the uniqueness of Nova Scotia’s signature grape — L’Acadie.
Nestled on the south-facing slope of the sun-kissed Gaspereau Valley, Gaspereau Vineyards is a boutique winery known for outstanding Rieslings, fruit-forward whites, and robust reds. Enjoy a glass on the patio overlooking the vines for a truly tranquil experience and learn about the wines, from grape to glass.
